De New York City…
Kevin K a joué avec les Lone Cowboys, Road Vultures, les Toys, Freedy Lynxx & The Corner Gang, Ballbusters, Trash Brats et autre Sour Jazz, écumant tous les clubs de New York et des States, partageant la scène avec, entre autres, les Ramones, Dead Boys, Romantics, Pat Benatar et Thunders. Après de multiples virées européennes et 8 LP au compteur sur des labels aussi tels que 13th Street Entertainment (USA), Vicious Kitten (Australie) ou Incognito (Allemagne), Kevin K, accompagné des Real Kool Kats (ou figurent entre autres un ex-Drive Blind), sort son nouvel album "Kiss of death" sur Lollipop en septembre.

Je disais le plus grand bien du split ep de Kevin K/ Neurotics, le mois dernier, l’album est dans la continuité. Kevin K fait partie de ces gens qui savent que jouer vite n’est pas un gage de crédibilité et que le vrai rockeur est classieux, pas dément. Un parfum doux amer pour ceux qui savent qu’une paire de shades et un costard noir seront toujours plus efficaces que des poses et des hurlements. Cette idée de looser magnifique trouve son paroxysme dans le fabuleux « road to ruin » (clin d’œil aux frangins), tandis que la ballade « together forever » serait un hit parfait. This is down 'n' dirty Bowery-style rock 'n' roll crunch with a colorfully descriptive lyrical content about drugs, heartbreak, boredom, decadence, and barely surviving the sleazy seduction of the dog-eat-dog mean streets of NYC. Kevin K and his deviant duo of musical sidekicks sound as if they just crawled out of a garbage dumpster in a rat-infested back-alley on the Lower East Side after a long night of substance abuse, drunken debauchery, and high-voltage sonic sinfulness at Max's Kansas City. Damn shootin', it's the swaggerin' gritty sound of hookers, heroin addiction, cheap tattoos, and booze-fuelled inner-city vagrancy (snotty nasal-whine vocals, ball-bustin' Johnny Thunders-style guitar riffage, and a clattering out-of-control subway train rhythm section).
